The Youth Department Organizes a Meeting for Students
In keeping with the policy of caring for student organizations and Muslim student activities in universities in Europe, the student work committee which is a sub-division of the Youth Department at the Federation of Islamic Organizations in Europe organized a 2 day student meeting which was attended by students from France, Sweden, Austria, Italy, Spain, Germany and Holland.
The students attended a lecture given by Mr.Selim Bin Omara the Head of the Youth and Student Department where he outlined the plan of the department and stressed the importance of caring for Muslim students in universities and in Islamic organizations. This was followed by reports given by attendees on the status of student activities in their regions.
Dr.Ossama Abdel Sattar the Head of the Edification Department participated with a lecture on the importance of individual efforts in supporting and developing student institutions. As well as explaining the experience of Muslim students in France and the most prominent challenges they faced, as well as the parameters of student activities in Europe, and the role of the Muslim student in the European arena. Sheikh Ahmed Al Rawy the Head of the European Wakf Organization lectured on the history of Islamic student activities in Europe and the challenges of student work as well as the means of developing it.
