A Training Program for Women Working in the Field of Da’wah in the Ukraine
The Women’s Work Department in the Federation of Social Organizations Al Raed organized a training program, the first of its kind, for the women working in the field of da’wah in the regions and cities of the Ukraine. The program was held from February 20th to 21st 2010 at the headquarters of the Islamic Cultural Center in Kiev.
The program aimed at enhancing the spiritual level of the participants, and strengthening their ability in the field of da’wah, as well as tackling the major obstacles and problems they face. The program was attended by 40 participants from various cities and regions, and included cultural lectures and hands on workshops.
Lectures
The program included 3 lectures on the first day. The first was given by Mr.Alaa Al Gharabawy on “The Methods of the Prophet (PBUH) in Da’wah”, where he spoke of the importance of da’wah and the most prominent phases of da’wah in the life of the Prophet (PBUH) including the individual, the family and society, as well as presenting many facets of his methodology in conveying the message of Islam to the people, such as the gradual approach, diligence and patience in facing hardships.
The second lecture was given by Dr.Ismail Al Kady the Head of the Federation on “Da’wah Work in the Institutional Form” where he showed the importance and benefit of organized institutional work in the field of da’wah and showing the path to God and introducing Islam.
This was followed by the third lecture given by Mr.Tarek Sarhan on “The Characteristics of those Working in Da’wah and the Art of Da’wah” where he tackled the characteristics that those working in da’wah should have such as devotion, knowledge, understanding, high morals and a love of good for all people.
Workshops
The second day of the program was allocated for workshops, whereby each workshop tackled one or more topics related to the methods of da’wah in proving the existence of One True God, and Prophet Muhammed (PBUH) as well as the relationship with parents and the issue of hijab.
